Room by room

  1. Living room

    • One open room with the kitchen: a charcoal sectional that opens into the queen sofa bed, a dining table, and a run of clerestory windows.
    • The sofa bed is the second bed. Two guests sleep in the bedroom; guests three and four sleep here.
    • Smart TV. Board games. A dedicated workspace.
    • Wood-burning fireplace (listed). Room-darkening shades.

  2. Kitchen

    • Full-size refrigerator, electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, hot-water kettle.
    • Nespresso machine and coffee provided. Wine glasses. Dishes, silverware, pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper.
    • Grill utensils for the gas grill on the back patio.
    • The nearest grocery stores are in Copake and Hillsdale, both a short drive. Stock up on the way in, especially for evening arrivals.
    • The kitchen: full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric cooktop beneath open cherry-toned cabinets
    • Open wood shelves above the kitchen window, with the sink, dishwasher, and cooktop below
    • The coffee corner by the corner windows: a kettle and a Nespresso machine on the counter

  3. Bedroom

    • King bed, Egyptian cotton linens, extra pillows and blankets.
    • Sliding glass doors open straight onto the lawn.
    • Dresser and clothing storage. Room-darkening shades. Hair dryer.
    • A paid crib is available on request.

  4. Bathroom

    • One full bathroom with a shower. It is the only bathroom.

    • Hot water. Cleaning products under the sink.
    • The bathroom vanity: a black fluted cabinet, brass fixtures, and a round mirror
    • The full bathroom: shower with a curtain, toilet, vanity, and a small window

  5. Sauna, deck, and yard

    • A private cedar barrel sauna in the trees behind the cabin.
    • A fieldstone firepit beside a seasonal stream, stocked with wood. Adirondack chairs. A hammock.
    • Covered front porch with a cedar ceiling; a back deck with a gas grill and outdoor furniture.
    • Two bicycles for guests — the Harlem Valley Rail Trail is reachable from Millerton, a short drive.
    • Private parking on the property. No shared walls, entrances, or neighbouring guests.

Good to know

  1. Cell signal can be spotty depending on your carrier. Starlink WiFi covers the cabin and works for calls and streaming.
  2. There is one bathroom, and it is downstairs with everything else — the cabin is a single level.
  3. The second bed is a sofa bed in the living room, not a second bedroom. It is a good bed; it is still a sofa bed.
  4. The nearest grocery stores are in Copake and Hillsdale, a short drive. There is nothing to buy on the road at night.
  5. Quiet rural property: mind noise after 10 PM, especially outdoors.
  6. Pets are welcome, at no extra charge, and must be declared at booking. Pets stay off the furniture, and the yard is picked up before checkout.
  7. The firepit comes stocked with wood. Fully extinguish it before going to bed.
  8. There are exterior security cameras on the property.
  9. No washer or dryer.
  10. On 2026-09-20 the Airbnb listing showed a non-refundable cancellation policy for a late-September stay. Confirm the policy for your dates before booking.

Accessibility

Single-level cabin: the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room are on one floor.

Entry is by a short set of cedar porch steps; whether a step-free route exists has not been confirmed.

Door widths, shower threshold, and grab-bar details have not been measured. Ask before booking if these matter to you.

The sauna, firepit, and stream are reached over lawn and uneven ground.
